Cottage Garden, Burnham MarketThis is the garden of 'Alice House,' where we spent a summer holiday. It was early evening and there was the most wonderful fragrance in the air. The temperature was cooling, although there was a warm breeze. As you can see, the church is just visible, bathed in the early evening sunshine.

The Hoste Arms, Burnham MarketThe Hoste, at dusk, on a summer's evening. It had been a hot day and this bustling village had settled into its evening rhythm, with tourists and locals alike having dinner or a drink. There was chatter and laughter to be heard and this classic Land Rover was parked in its usual spot outside.

View from the cottageNorfolk
This was a view from a fantastic, unique Grade II listed cottage called, 'The Magazine,' in Sedgeford, North Norfolk. Aswell as having such character, there was beautiful surrounding open countryside. This was on a hot August afternoon and we had the French doors open, allowing a delicious breeze to circulate.

Cley next the Sea
Cley's such a charming and characterful village, located near the town of Holt, North Norfolk. It has breathtaking scenery, aswell as being coastal. There's also a beautiful old windmill and several quaint, yet useful shops. I just visited for a sunny summer afternoon, but would love to stay there for longer.

Holkham Dawn
Holkham Beach is such a magical place and unspoilt place. It also never looks the same twice, with each sunrise and sunset being unique. This was dawn breaking early on a summer morning- I love the broad spectrum of colours.

HOLKHAM SUNSETThis sunset was just spectacular, with the sky and beach immersed in an orange glow. Under these conditions, the sand had an almost purple appearance, which was really rather beautiful.

I love painting in Norfolk because it has so much charm and character. The scenery can be breathtaking and wild and the villages and coastal areas are quaint, reminding me of happy times and summer holidays.
I am particularly fond of North Norfolk, with Holkham Beach and Burnham Market being two favourite locations.
